Established in 1949 by James V. Tigani Sr., N.K.S. Distributors remains a family-owned and operated business, now led by his son Robert Tigani, Sr.
The company saw significant growth in the 1950s with the introduction of Schaefer beer, and in 1960, N.K.S. Distributors secured the Anheuser-Busch franchise for Delaware.
From 1960 to 2022, N.K.S. operated from two locations in Delaware: New Castle and Milford. In 2017, we initiated plans to build a new facility centrally located in Smyrna, Delaware. By mid-December 2022, all our brands and staff were united under one roof.
